Make Money Quick

Author: Dele

So many newbies complain of being led into various programs with “make money quick” ads, only to get in to discover it is not as rosy as that.

My comment to the above will be in two parts.

Firstly, I think people ultimately always end up getting what they desire.

Prospects can always confirm that not all websites show such ads.

While still on the lookout for ads to respond to however, prospects actually do come across “honest” sites but click away from such sites very fast since it “leveled” with them that it would involve some work and time.

Even where prospects see “money-making site setup FREE within 24 hours” on the Plug-In Profit Site, because their inner mind wants money within 24 hours, what they actually end up believing to have seen is “money within 24 hours” rather than “a money-making site delivered within 24 hours”.

A lot of webmasters have thus come to realise that the vast majority of entrants into home business are looking for get rich quick schemes or “enjoy” “make money quick” and therefore advertise as such in a bid to just get subscribers at all cost.

I am not holding brief for such webmasters who display “make money quick” fraudulently, but only saying the prospects are equally to blame.

I get to hear for example that the subscribers’ generation rate of some companies is too slow and so a lot of people shy away from using them. Meanwhile, when such people end up getting “fake” leads/subscribers very fast from other sources, they equally complain. You really “cannot have your cake and eat it”.

Some people would rather gather a list into multiple thousands with very low quality/conversions subsequently, rather than take the time to gather quality leads even though they should have known the implication from the outset.

Others, even still using good quality companies to generate subscribers, will place very sensational ads all in a bid to attract subscribers at all cost, only to end up with thousands of low quality subscribers list. They also ought to have known the implication of their actions from the outset.

All these arise from the “make money quick” mentality.

Meanwhile, it should be realised that webmasters have different levels of ethical standards individually and so such “playing to the gallery” by some webmasters should not come as a surprise.

Even where the program is difficult to go through, some webmasters/uplines having a sense of commitment, will do all in their power to assist their subscribers to achieve success while others will not.

In summary, it is incumbent on the prospect to identify the webmaster who is being honest and be prepared to accept the honesty and face reality. Until this happens in large scale, such occurences of “make money quick” will continue.

On the other hand (second part), some people (though few) do actually start making sales and profit quite early with these programs. This does depend on many variables amongst which are

-previous experience in home business/online business
-level of education/general knowledge
-time available to devote to the home business
-funds available to help jumpstart the home business
-availability and quality of mentor or upline.

Having A Good Conversion Rate

Author: Dele

Click here to see what’s inside!

I often read statements like “I get a lot of traffic to my site yet I make no sales or very little sales”.

Some outrightly boast of the size of their mailing list but really have nothing or little to show for it by way of sales. Meanwhile, a lot of resources would have been wasted on getting this massive mailing list, to no effect.

A massive mailing list without sales is effectively a fiasco!

Some key factors that determine how successful a webmaster’s sales efforts will be are at the point of the advert before the customer gets to your site while some are after the advert, when the customer is finally at your site.

Very important determinants to having a good conversion rate are:

• “Effective” can and should be brief. So the first contact with your customers must be very brief as they are unlikely to be interested in any long unwinding sales pitch.

When you now get them to go to your site, and subsequently to return to your site often, the more likely are they going to be willing to spend more time on your site. That is saying , initial adverts(splash pages, e-mails, solo ads etc) and first landing pages on your website should often be brief but effective.

• How targeted is your advertising? I read of some people having a massive list without anything significant to really show for it. Imagine a customer brimming with enthusiasm to go to your site based on your advert only to be disappointed and leave abruptly on getting to your site feeling deceived as there seems not much correlation between the advert that brought him to your website in the first place and the contents he now sees on your website.

Lawyers will ordinarily say there is lack of “consensus ad idem” i.e. meeting of minds.
Alternatively it is a case of the computer terminology “Garbage in, Garbage out”

• Is your website properly set up to effectively convert?
Do you have the necessary text links, banner ads, e-books , newsletter signup forms etc in strategic places, ready and waiting to be clicked upon?

• Is there a “call to action statement” on your website to ginger the prospect to take immediate action?

• Having enough products/services on your website such that if the prospect does not pick on one, he is likely to pick on the other.

• Design and layout of your website is important so that it does not act as a turn off. For example, the contents should be in proper paragraphs and contain some banners/pictures to liven up the website.

• Do you have a follow-up system such as a newsletter in place as most customers need to see or hear about your offer at least five to seven times before pitching their tent with you.

. Is there a proper linking structure in place on your website such that your prospects can adequately navigate your website to access the needed information to make their purchase decisions?

. Update and add to your website content regularly.
It is common knowledge that most visitors do not buy products the first few times they visit your website. They will be watching for continuity and added content while giving them this confidence will also elicit the much needed purchase response.

You will have realized that a large number of the determinants are on the website and so adequate preparation should be made before visitors are invited to your website, so that you do not merely waste resources i.e money and time in getting visitors to your site with no significant positive result achieved.

Do you have what it takes to be an e-entrepreneur?

These days, it seems like everyone wants to work
from home and make money on the Internet. But
before you even turn on your computer, the first
question you have to ask yourself is whether
you’re cut out for this kind of work.

The fact is, building a home-based business isn’t
for everyone. Some people like the commute. They
really do enjoy having a boss who tells them what
to do, and they like the routine of working
nine-to-five for an ordinary salary that can
barely pay the mortgage. Personally, I think
they’re nuts.

More reasonably, there are people who are
concerned about the risk of starting up their own
business. They’re not sure it’s worth the
investment of time and money, and they’re scared
of the responsibility that comes with running
their own company. They wonder if there is
another way to escape the rat race.

I’m sure there is. You could win the lottery or
wait for your Aunt Sue to keel over and leave you
her condo. Or maybe you could sit down with a pen
and paper and draw the blueprint for “The Next
Big Thing”. Anything can happen… Right?

For me, what happened was creating a successful,
self-running Internet marketing system. It didn’t
happen without effort. It didn’t happen without
at least some initial investment of both time and
money and, of course, it doesn’t happen now
without me making sure that the taxes are filed
and the paperwork is done. But it happened.

I’m my own boss. I work from home according to my
own schedule and I get to pocket all the cash my
business makes. If you’re prepared to give an
e-business the time, the work and the money it
needs to get started and get growing, it can
happen for you too.

Economic Gloom Be Gone

Author: Guest

Copyright © Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy
Plug-In Profit Site

I walked downstairs a few minutes ago and saw that my
wife was watching a little CNN (helping us stay
up-to-date on the latest world happenings…), and one
of the headlines that jumped out at me was the words:
“Economic Gloom”.

This got me thinking…

From my point of view, I see that much of the world is
in a state of PANIC about the economy. There certainly
may be good reason for concern, but too much concern
will also certainly create the reality that you wish to
avoid through the law of attraction.

It is true that what you think about most of the time
shows up in your life. For example, if you’re THINKING
about why you can’t accomplish some goal of yours,
sure enough all the reasons that you *find* for why you
can’t will affect your emotions and therefore the
actions that you will or won’t take toward that goal.
Therefore, by thinking *why* you can’t, you’re making
sure that you don’t.

Alternatively, if you use your mind to start finding
reasons why you CAN, you’ll start to FEEL differently
and then those new feelings will motivate you to take
NEW ACTIONS and those new actions will create new
results in your results – most likely much closer to
your desired outcome.

In these times of great challenge financially around
the world, NOW MORE THAN EVER it is critical that YOU
tune your mind, feeling and actions into prosperous
frequencies. For many years, I’ve been reading books,
listening to audio tapes, doing meditations, watching
DVD’s and surrounding myself with influences that make
me think smarter, faster, younger, happier, healthier
and wealthier. And little by little, day by day all of
these things have given me an edge in life and allowed
me to achieve more success, happiness and freedom in
my life than I would have ever been able to if I had
simply allow myself to “go with the flow” and allow
society to program me to it’s own standards.

Speaking of standards, for many people here in the
United States the standard for success is to go to
college, get a good job, work hard for 40 years and
*hopefully* retire with enough money left in the bank
to pay your medical bills and assisted care living
expenses until you DIE. It’s pretty sad.

That’s definitely NOT my standard for this life
though. I “retired” a long time ago (without ever
graduating from college) and spend most my time these
being a passionate husband and father as well as
aggressively pursuing interests that light a fire in my
soul!

Today which is Tuesday (while many people were busy
working a job they don’t enjoy), I was at my tennis
club at 8:30 am working on my serve, then went to the
ball machine at 10:00, then started my private tennis
lesson at 11:00, followed by an hour long massage at
12:15. Then I got home about 1:30 and made myself a
plate with a tuna sandwich, freshly cooked beets and a
delicious cabbage salad all bought from Whole Foods
Market where the words natural and organic truly means
something. While having lunch my car was being detail
cleaned in the driveway of my home and my gardener was
dropping off fertilizer and plants for this Fall’s
planting. While my “team” was helping me keep my car
and home looking great, I jumped on the piano for 30
minutes and started practicing “Carol of the Bells”
which is a song I’ll be playing during the holidays
this year for competition and for pleasure. After that,
I spent a little quality time with my wife and kids and
then my kids tutor arrived so I hopped over here to my
office to write you this email. Once I press send, I’m
going to head downstairs and eat a great dinner with
the people I love most in this world.

That’s a day in the life of Stone Evans, The Home Biz
Guy, and it’s pretty typical (for me right now). I
focus most of my energy on having fun doing things that
I love and working in ways that make me happy and make
feel like I’m making a positive difference in other
people’s lives. These are some of MY standards. Do you
know what yours are?

You see, a standard is something that is basic to your
life. Something that simply couldn’t be different. For
example, many years ago (before I was rich, *or at
least before the world agreed with me that I was
rich*), I knew that that description I shared with you
above about my day today was simply a standard of who I
was and what I was *committed* to experience in my
life. I knew that wanted to do and pursue all the
things that were important and exciting to ME, without
having to worry, or even *think* about how much money
it would cost. In fact, that’s a huge part of
financial success for me – to never be limited to do
something you want to do because of money. This is my
standard. And it’s because of this standard that was
set in my mind a long time ago that I’ve been able to
achieve some pretty extraordinary things in my life so
far, and that will continue to drive me to create and
experience the life I dream of.

I feel impassioned to write about these things right
now, not to brag, because life has far greater things
in store for each of us that chooses to embrace the
potential and power within us. Instead, I write to
inspire. If I’ve been able to break free of society’s
“doom and gloom programming” and “standards of
mediocrity”, you can too!

Turn off the “noooooooooooos” and TURN ON your own
mind by reading books that empower you, watching DVD’s
that inspire you, talking to people that LIFT YOU UP
and taking new actions that move you in the *direction*
of YOUR deepest heart’s desire. A couple of books that
have made a difference for me lately are: “The
Jackrabbit Factor: Why You Can” and
“Psycho-Cybernetics, A New Way to Get More Living Out
of Life”. You can find them both at Amazon.com. Look
them up, buy them and devour them! Just READING these
books with an open mind will affect you in ways that
change your life and cause you to experience more
happiness and success, guaranteed!

In the world right now, the divide between the
“haves” and the “have-nots” is getting wider. Align
YOURSELF with the “have what YOU want” mindset and
YOU WILL. As I said earlier, *now more than EVER
before* if you want more out of your life, SELECT YOUR
PROGRAMMING CAREFULLY and take control of your mind,
and your future!

If your looking for a “different path” to make a
living, check out the one I selected that has given me
all the time and financial freedom I need to pursue my
dreams with passion in this life at:

Pop-Ups, Fly-Ins, Opt-Ins And Pop-Unders

Author: Dele

Pop-unders work by placing your website’s ad under that of another website such that as the visitor is quitting that other website, he sees your ad.

For success to be achieved with this, your website must be in the “general” category and not in a specialised niche as the original adverts under which yours is placed is very untargeted(unlikely to be in your category) and conversions are quite low.

It is however said that the cost of the ad is quite low enough to compensate for the low conversion rate.

Personally, I will advise against this ad type because of the untargetted nature which makes the conversion rate quite low.

Regarding opt-in or fly-in or sometimes pop-ups, this appears on your website about 5 seconds into a customers visit to your site and is supposed to be unblockable by pop-up blockers. It flies onto the website obstructing the visitors view and thereby attracting attention and has to be “closed” for the visitor to continue his surfing of that website.

Some, for example the war room pop-up on the warrior forum are quite powerful that they cannot be closed but must either be left obstructing or clicked to take the visitor to its destination.

It is normal to include some FREE offers e.g E-books to attract the visitor to sign up on the fly-in.

There are also opt-ins built to be displayed on traffic exchanges while an opt-in may also be a “form” containing scanty details such as just e-mail address and name and this form is usually strategically placed on your website to capture subscribers.

What is common to all types of opt-ins by whatever name they may be called, is that they are meant to “capture” subscribers.

In conclusion, a major disadvantage of pop-ups or fly-ins is that if improperly done or overdone, it can annoy the visitor enough to leave the website.

On the otherhand, this is an advantage of the pop-unders in that it does not block the view of the visitor but is a subtle way of getting his attention when he has finished at the site he is visiting. If the ad in this case were targeted, it would be an effective source of advertising.

Getting Internet Marketing Training With The Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS)

Author: Dele

Getting Internet Marketing Training with the Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS) is the most beneficial action anyone wishing to start a home based business can take.

What is the Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS)?

PIPS is a complete home based business opportunity which comes with its own website included in which is a subset(numbered about 5) different home based business opportunities with actual product/service to sell. These home businesses include:

Empowerism
Hostgator
Global Domains International(GDI)
My World Plus
SFI Marketing Group

You are able to adjust the website by including other home based business opportunities or removing any existing business opportunity if you so wish and the main advantage of this “in-a-box” is the synergy generated.

Checking statistics, you will observe that the top sponsors of these individual programs are indeed PIPS members, saying the program is achieving its objective.

In my opinion, what is outstanding about PIPS is the excellent support and training you get to promote these home based business opportunities “all-in-a-box”:

24/7 help desk and forum support. Help desk is manned by a very knowledgeable and efficient support director while forum is the #1 Internet Marketing Forum (Warrior Forum) where you get to rub shoulders with Internet Marketing Gurus and “newbies” alike.

A 30-days training guide with step-by-step instructions on how to build your business is also provided in an e-manual.

A 400 day pre-written newsletter that automatically follows-up with visitors for you.

No doubt, internet marketing is not child’s play given statistics which shows that only between 3% to 5% of those who venture into it actually succeed.

The more reason why one needs such an excellent support to be able to “weather the storm”.

What is further good about the system is that over time, members of the Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS) who have achieved success with the system and are now profitably running their own home businesses full time are still very much around and have undertaken to train new entrants ( no ex-gratia – at a fee) and reducing the new entrants’ learning curve through the benefit of their own experiences. This group is called the PIPS Power Group and is not in anyway directly a part of the Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS).

Why is it very beneficial to get this internet marketing training with Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS) as you start a home based business?

• A major reason is that the Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS) is the foremost internet marketing training platform for you as you start a home based business.

• Another reason is that the Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS) satisfies all the requirements for a good internet marketing training program.

• You cannot act beyond your knowledge and since most knowledge is acquired, it is desirable to acquire this very productive internet marketing training from the Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS) to enable success as you start a home based business.

• There are so many scams on the internet but the home based business opportunities penciled by the Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS) have been thoroughly screened and the originator of the Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS) and previous entrants into PIPS have run these programs successfully for years.

• Are you still trying to identify what marketing strategies and resources will work for whatever home based business opportunities you are trying out? Stop trying to “re-invent the wheel” and look no further, as the Plug-In Profits Site (PIPS) has compiled a comprehensive list and has a thorough narration on each of these strategies and resources documented in its 30-days training guide.

• You have identified the home based business opportunities to promote and know some marketing tactics to deploy. Do you know most current marketing strategies and tactics to deploy and the appropriate timing to deploy each? This internet marketing training with the Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS) will enable you to acquire the “Operating System(Software)” without which the “Hardware(Affiliate programs)” will not operate optimally. This program will integrate the affiliate programs or home based business opportunities with the various marketing strategies and synchronise them for optimal performance for you as you start your home business.

• This internet marketing training acts as a springboard upon which you can build as you start a home based business by expanding your efforts as you acquire more knowledge and experience in home business.

• Even after identifying ideal home based business opportunities to promote, in the highly competitive home business niche, you need a leverage to succeed, at least while “cutting your teeth” and this is provided by this sub-niche of “Internet Marketing Training” which you can now sell with the solid backing of the Plug-In Profit Site (PIPS) to newbies/new entrants into the home business industry.

. Another major benefit of the Plug-In Profit Site(PIPS) is that it is very suitable for International members unlike quite a lot of programs where various restrictions inhibit their effectiveness to these international members.
Any subscription for upgrading does not require paypal payments and can be done via 2CheckOut using Visa/Master Cards. Commissions are also easily collectable through various means such as special cash cards in some cases or at worst by mailed cheques.

Effective Article Writing

Author: Dele

Article writing is one of the most effective forms of advertisement in internet marketing.

It generates large viral traffic even for a few well written articles.

For article writing to be effective however, some key factors must be taken into consideration right from the outset of article writing.

Search Engine Optimization
• For article writing to be effective, it must take into consideration the fact that one of the key objectives of article writing in the first place is to advertise the webmasters website, get traffic which then will hopefully ultimately convert to sales.

• To achieve the objective of putting the website in the forefront of the potential customer/visitor’s sight, it is imperative that the article features in at least the first 2 pages of the various search engines. It is a known fact that most people browsing the net will hardly look beyond the first 2 pages for any keyword phrase.

• How does the webmaster get to doing this? Right from the outset, for his article writing to be effective, the webmaster must do a keyword research to determine which keyword phrases are frequently searched for and at the same time are not too competitive in terms of the number of websites positioning themselves for viewing.

• Regarding keyword phrases that are frequently searched for, one must almost become stereotyped to the extent that the numbers rather than other sentimental factors must prevail in your decision making.

I give you a perfect example. When I did a keyword search in trying to write something on the “Plug in profit site”, I discovered that most people erroneously refer to the site as “Plug in profits site” and ironically, they have the larger search numbers more than those describing it correctly. What did I do in the circumstance, I followed suit in describing it as such, a case of “if you can’t beat them , then you join them” you would say. You will therefore notice that all the articles I write on the “Plug in Profit Site” is actually on “Plug in Profits Site”, to satisfy the search engines.

• Having established the above, the webmaster must now write his article “around” that keyword phrase by inserting the keyword phrase in strategic spots of the article which include the title, the first line of the first paragraph preferably on the extreme left of both the title and first paragraph. It should also be sprinkled optimally within the article and also importantly, in the last paragraph of the article.

• Optimal insertion of the keyword phrases for article writing is important because extreme insertion would incur the wrath of most article directories as well as may be regarded as spamming by the search engines. It may also make the article loose its meaning.

Article writing for humans.

• As the webmaster takes into cognizance the search engines, he must simultaneously take into consideration the fact that his audience comprises humans and not robots. Accordingly, his article writing must provide useful information to the visitor. It should be realized that the internet is an information super highway where a lot of useful information abound for free. Any uninformative article will therefore almost immediately be thrashed.

• Optimal insertion of the keyword phrase is again important here as the keyword density must just be ideal and not excessive which can make the article loose its meaning to its audience

Relevance to the niche of the webmaster

• For effective article writing, the article must relate to the niche of the article writer or else it serves little or no purpose beyond general information which is not usually the prime objective of most webmasters but rather traffic and ultimately sales.

Reasons Why Majority Of Those Starting A Home Business Fail

Author: Dele

Reasons why majority of those starting a home based business fail, can be broadly classified into two.

1) They are not involved in any internet marketing training program.

It should be obvious that if anyone is not properly trained in internet marketing, he is not likely to succeed. “Newbies” fail to take cognizance of the fact that available statistics reveal that only between 3% – 5% of those starting a home based business eventually succeed.

Before going into most professions offline, most people take time to receive adequate training. One is therefore amiss as to why they should think it will be different online.

Internet marketing is a body of knowledge which is acquired and so the advise to those starting a home based business is to get involved in a good internet marketing training program.

2) They are involved in an internet marketing training program and yet fail for the following reasons.

a) The training program they are involved in does not possess the basic characteristics of a good internet marketing training program

b) Quite a sizeable number of “newbies” when starting a home based business, expect a “get rich quick scheme” and so do not expect to work hard to achieve success. Unfortunately, this is not usually the case with most home based business opportunities. The exceptions to this rule gives only a temporary succour to this type of entrants but no lasting relief. They still come back to start learning the basics of internet marketing through an organized training program.

c)Lack of basic educational requirements..
Unlike most professions/jobs which require you to present your academic credentials before entry, those starting a home based business, have a field day. The internet more or less has no regulator and so there is a natural sieving process whereby the “wheat is sifted from the chaff”.

I will advise that anyone seeking greener pastures on the internet acquire some basic educational qualifications first of all, perhaps a minimum of a university degree in my view, to enable success.

d) A corollary of the above is that a number of those with requisite educational qualifications are actually not involved in home business as they are otherwise too engaged in their professions and so are not even exposed to internet marketing. Unfortunately for them, they do not know what they are missing Those who try it in conjunction with their work and are very busy executives find out that they do not have the time it requires and so have to drop it to concentrate on their job. “A bird in hand is worth a thousand in the bush” you would say.

e) Wrong business opportunities.
Some “newbies” starting a home based business fall into the hands of fraudsters in their bid for “get rich quick schemes” and so get their fingers burnt.
The more reason why they should be involved in an organized internet marketing training program which will “shepherd” them towards tried and tested money-making business opportunities on the internet.

f) Failure to adhere to basic accounting concepts of matching, cashflow & profitabiltity.
I have written an entire article on this and advise that new entrants into internet marketing adhere to these concepts and terminologies of accounting as enunciated in Starting A Home Business – Matching, Cashflow & Profitability

g)Failure to have knowledgeable and experienced mentors.
Even when involved in a good internet marketing training program, you may find out that the size of the training program and the hectic busy schedule of the originator who obviously should be a much sought after “guru” will not allow the close mentoring needed for those starting a home based business.

The system, if productive should have trained quite competent internet marketers who will still be involved in the training program and thereby pass down their own knowledge in addition to the originators’ as well as key ways to succeed with the training program. They will identify areas to cut costs and tools and resources to deploy to fast track your internet marketing success.

h) The time required in turning out a profit.
For those not even ordinarily looking for a “get rich quick scheme”, a usual complaint by those starting a home based business is that the time required in turning out a profit which I label “the learning phase” is too long. This usually ranges from about 6 months to 1 year for a serious entrant and can even be longer for a lay-about.

Beginners Guide To Search Engine Optimisation

Author: Dele

Let me try and explain Search Engine Optimization in as simplified a way as I possibly can.

You see, the objective of any webmaster is to gain as much traffic/visitors as possible to his website which hopefully would result into sales and hence profit.

There are many sources of traffic e.g. traffic exchanges, classified ads, solo ads, ezines, forum, social sites, search engines (Pay per click – PPC and organic -free), articles, directories, etc.

Of all these, traffic from search engines account for almost 90% of available traffic. Amongst the search engines, google is the most predominant, accounting for almost 60% of all traffic.

What can you deduce from the above? That any internet marketer who wants to be successful must pay attention to the search engines, especially google.

Another reason why is that most traffic from this source (excepting pay per click) is actually more or less free if you do not cost the effort you put into search engine optimization. It is the type of traffic that is ultimately sustainable as you can gain some traffic from paid means but want to gradually wind down on this source as you get to gain more and more organic (free) traffic from the search engines.

The search engines crawl most sites on the internet looking to “feature” or “display” the most relevant and important sites for each search term or what is popularly called keywords, keyword phrases, long tail keywords.

The search engines feature sites based on relevance and importance.

The importance of each site to the search engines is determined by various algorithms amongst which is number and importance of backlinks from other sites. Hence one reason why webmasters strive to get as much backlinks as possible.

The relevance of each site for each search term, to the search engines is determined amongst other things by the position, number etc of the search term or its various similarities on the site.

The issue now is, each webmaster tries to strategically position himself ready for the search engines by using “relevant” keywords phrases such that by the time the search engines are triggered by prospective visitors searching for one thing or the other on the internet, your site will “come up for mentioning” and thereby you stand the chance of having visitors and ultimately making sales and eventually profit.

It is like displaying items for sale in a supermarket, in this case, the search engines. More also like the stock exchange where buyers and sellers meet, through their agents.

The act of inserting relevant keywords and at strategic positions into your various sites(including blogs) and ads such as articles, classified ads etc is one aspect of Search Engine Optimisation(on site) while the other type is offsite and includes gaining backlinks through various means such as forum marketing, directory submissions, article submissions, social bookmarking etc

In summary, all acts you carry out with a view to “courting” the “beautiful bride” – search engines(google most prevalent) by meeting their terms of “relevant and important”, are regarded as optimizing for the search engines or more popularly, search engine optimization.

Note that this is a means to an end and not an end in itself as your main objective is eventual traffic, sales and profit.

Start A Home Business With GDIdmon

GDI Headquarters in Carlsbad, USACLICK HERE NOW!

GDI is one of the best home based business opportunities around, having done so well within a short period of time.

What is GDI?
GDI is the abbreviation for Global Domains International and is a company based in Carlsbad, USA which is involved in Domain registration, Web hosting and it is an Income opportunity in its own right. It’s affiliates, apart from owning domain names with the WS label (as opposed to COM) and hosting their websites with the company, are also involved in marketing the domain name WS to prospects, for a commission. It is one of the home based business opportunities anyone starting a home business will want to look at.

Prior to GDI
Prior to the incursion of GDI into the domain registration business in the year 2000, the landscape was such that .COM almost exclusively dominated the scene. The market potential was and still is very inviting with only about 34 million domain names registered world wide even up till just a few years ago. About 20 million of the market share was dominated by .COM and that is gradually changing with the incursion of WS.

Industry experts forecast that more than 500 million domains will be registered in the next ten years. In fact, reliable sources from companies like Intel are predicting that every personal computer in the future will have its own domain name. This is thus a home business with great potential for those trying to start a home business.

Origin of GDI
GDI sprouted from the gap already identified above that exists for marketing domain names, The most ideal domain name source was traced to be that of the tiny island nation of Samoa, deep in the South Pacific. Interestingly, the name WS allocated to the country was a good abbreviation for Web Site and so could be successfully marketed worldwide as the ‘Web Site’ top-level domain.

After eventual successful negotiations with the authorities of Samoa, GDI began its journey towards becoming one of the most successful home based business opportunities of all time and thus a goldmine for those who want to start a home business.

Management of GDI
alanCLICK HERE NOW!Alan Ezeir of United States is the President of GDI and a co-founder of GDI. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from UCLA and is responsible for multiple strategic projects at GDI; setting guidelines for meeting revenue goals, providing crucial leadership in generating new revenues, projecting sales forecasts, and monitoring the company’s cash expenditures. He also manages the accounting, finance, contractual, and operations of GDI.

mikeCLICK HERE NOW!
Michael Reed is also a co-founder and is the CEO of GDI.
He, Reed, majored in Sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He has been involved in entrepreneurial activities for more than 15 years and has extensive knowledge in direct marketing and affiliate marketing distribution, as well as in software systems necessary to track agent sales and activities. He oversees, directs, and integrates the creative and marketing departments, as well as the technical division of Global Domains International, Inc.(GDI), which currently maintains the Registry for the Nation of Samoa’s Top Level Domain, “.WS”.

Josh Elliott is an advisor to GDI. He was the former Administrator of IANA (the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority) and meets regularly with Reed and Ezeir to discuss effective marketing strategies and the state of the domain name industry.

What are the advantages of been an affiliate with GDI?
A domain name you must get, if not many, if you are to start a home business, as this is the address for your business. It is a question of deriving other benefits from an investment you must make at any rate.

Once you have a domain, you do not have to spend any additional money to host. In short, the domain fee already incorporates hosting.

The importance to SEO(Search Engine Optimization) of having a carefully picked domain name cannot be overemphasized. With the near saturation for suitable domain names in the home business niche for .COM users, the appropriate alternative is to look elsewhere, that is, towards .WS in achieving this objective.

The monthly subscription which is actually payment for the domain name and hosting is a mere $10/month and so quite affordable for those just “cutting their teeth” in internet marketing. That even only takes effect after you have had 7-days without any payment to test-run the system. You therefore have no commitment and can simply leave if within 7-days you find out the system is not for you.

You are not bound to automatically host with GDI. Even though the fee remains the same whether you host with GDI or not, at least you have the latitude to pick whatever host you choose while still retaining the income potential if you so wish.

Using re-directs with GDI.
Even if you already have a domain, you can diversify and have another with GDI(WS) which you can have the domain you are already using redirected to. This for example can serve the purpose of a good domain name for SEO purposes such that you do not loose the traffic and benefits of all the efforts you have put into your current domain name while you gradually wind that down and concentrate exclusively on marketing the new WS domain name.
If you are also just starting a home business and sentimental about having a .COM domain at all cost, you can still “have your cake and eat it” by having a WS domain name alongside and this time around also for SEO purposes, redirect from your WS domain to your .COM domain and continue to use both indefinitely.

GDI’s SiteBuider
SiteBuilder is GDI’s template driven WebSite design interface. It easily allows you to get a WebSite up-and-running in minutes without using special software. Everything is completed from within your Internet browser.

Ease of paying subscriptions and collecting commissions for International members.
No doubt, International members wishing to start a home business have a viable option here. It is common knowledge that International members quite often have problems either with paying subscriptions or receiving commissions or both for many affiliate programs. This is not the case with GDI as they accept 2CheckOut in paying subscriptions and also pay commissions by various options, including checks.

“Putting your money where your mouth is”.
I for example use the WS domain with my domain name as top-home-biz and reluctantly had to relinquish hosting with GDI just to meet the requirement of my online business training program which uses another hosting company.

Starting A Home Business – Matching, Cashflow & Profitability

Author: Dele

In starting a home business, the importance of the “Matching, “Cashflow” and “Profitability” concepts from the accounting point of view, cannot be over-emphasized.

Probably because I am a professional (Chartered Accountant) versed in that field, I notice a rampant non-adherence in home business online to this accounting concept, “Matching”. There is also a thorough lack of understanding of the meaning of Cashflow and Profitability all of which ultimately are major causes of failure of most home businesses.

The Matching Concept in accounting simply states that revenues earned in any accounting period must be matched with the expenses incurred in that same accounting period.

Cashflow is basically the expression of cash/funds that are received as against cash/funds that are spent within the same time period.

Profitabilty involves a matching of revenues(not cash) with expenses(not cash) incurred within the same time period.

Let us first start with “Cashflow”
Applying this to a home business, it is important that if anybody starting a home business wants to succeed, he should ensure that the cash/funds he receives from all sources he has decided to apply to the home business in any time period is at least equal to the amount he disburses on the home business in the same time period, which may be most appropriately, monthly,

Simple, it sounds? In reality, it beats me hollow to see many “Gurus” running training programs recommend to “newbies” many tools, resources, subscriptions which obviously? at the stage the newbies are in, in most cases, they should not be incurring such expenditure. And poor “newbies”, in the belief that they are being “shepherded” correctly, follow hook, line and sinker, the “recipe” of these “Gurus” much to their own peril.

Some “Gurus” do this out of mischief (to sell products/services) but you will be surprised at how many do this out of ignorance of the extreme importance of “Cashflow”.

“Cashflow” is the most important in the short run as a home business making profit in the short run can run out of business with inappropriate cashflow management. On the other hand, a home business making an actual accounting loss in the initial period can survive and ultimately turn around to making profit in the long run.. In fact most businesses start out making an accounting loss in their initial year of operation and turn this round to a profit in subsequent years.

Next to ““Profitability”.
This becomes crucial more in the long run as anyone starting a home business must ultimately ensure his revenues exceed expenses otherwise he will run out of business.

A common misconception however is that the home business must pay for itself almost right from the outset. You will loose a lot of home based business opportunities this way. What is crucial is the ultimate income potential of the home business. In fact only “get rich quick schemes” come this way.

Now to “Matching”
This in the accounting parlance is actually more related to “Profitability” in that it determines the way any profit you earn in your home business will be deemed accrued. Anyone starting a home business must know that the initial outlays in your first few months should not simply be “written off” but should be noted as an initial expense which should be amortised over a reasonable length of time periods and should not be simply “loaded” into any one time period.

What deductions can those starting a home business make from all these accounting terminologies?

- Do not spend more than you have realistically earmarked and is indeed available(budget) on any home business in any time period. In fact borrowing to start a home business is like signing your death warrant as the expected revenues/cash is not likely to come in as fast as you expect.

- The yardstick for determining the success of any home business is not in the speed with which you start earning as indeed you do not start reaping very fast with many successful home businesses while you infact yield initially very fast with some “get rich quick schemes” and ultimately loose much more later.

- You are the architect of your own fortune or misfortune and you should not leave your fate entirely in the hands of any marketing guru purporting to train you in internet marketing but wisely apply the breaks in spending as appropriately explained in this article.

- The decisions to be takan by each one involved in starting a home business is dependent on his particular financial situation. As “Cashflow” is most important, anyone with good cash base should infact make informed purchase decisions even if he would be making an accounting loss initially as this will fasttrack his business while someone with a poor cashflow should bid his time by applying FREE tools which are indeed plentiful on the internet. I say “informed purchase decisions” because availability of cash is no license to go on a spending spree without basis since in internet marketing, you still need time to acquire the necessary training which involves reading relevant materials very widely, browsing forums etc

- You must get out of that home business if within a reasonable length of time you are now not covering all your costs, including the ones you had capitalized which you are amortising over a number of time periods.

- Quantify exactly how much cash is required to “survive” in any home business within the first six months to one year by which time you should hopefully have turned into profit and incorporate this in your cashflow projection to determine if available earmarked funds will be able to finance this.

- Be rest assured that spending much more than comes in initially is not a sign of the failure of an home business or indeed any business for that matter.

You can now make many more other deductions from the explanation of the above terminologies to guide you in starting a home business.

Writing Articles

Writing Articles is one of the ways to get massive viral backlinks to your website.

Many newbies however have phobia for this marketing method. I often hear many say “I simply cannot write a good article. I am not gifted in writing”.

You do not have to know so much ab initio about a topic. All you have to do is research about it. How? Go to search engines such as google and type in your topic phrases and you have more than enough information to read up on. Also go to various article directories and read up on your topic areas. You should in fact begin to broaden your knowledge by reading up on areas other than that you are already comfortable with. You can be sure you will apply that knowledge.

Having done the above, condense all the information gathered combined with what you already know about the topic into a beautiful article.

It is important that the content is original so you have to shuffle all the information gathered in your “brainbox” and come out with something original.

Do not forget the resource box as the purpose of article writing is partly to provide a link to your site. Let the link be an anchor text whenever the article directory allows it. The words in the link must also be your keywords deliberately targeted to your site.

It is important to acquire the skill of article writing as it is highly effective in internet marketing and the alternative is to spend thousands of dollars in having articles ghostwritten for you should you eventually not be able to write good articles.

Some newbies to internet marketing start out by writing their life story and/or about their journey into internet marketing. While this is alright for your blog, it is not suitable as an article. An article should be informative and enlightening and should address an aspect of internet marketing.

Identifying A Good Internet Marketing Training Program

Author: Dele

Identifying a good internet marketing training program is very important as this synchronises the Money-Making business opportunities with the various advertising options open to the affiliate marketer and can make or mar the affiliate marketer.

The following are the characteristics of a good internet marketing training program.

1) Good training.

One of the key characteristics of a good internet marketing training program is the possession of good training. This is necessary to teach the operators of the marketing program how to utilize the marketing program to its full potential.

2) Responsive Support.

Another of the key characteristics of a good internet marketing training program is Responsive Support. The marketing program must have in place a support system which is not dependent on the free mail system. Though it may occasionally utilize the free mail system such as yahoo, gmail etc, its private support system must be efficient and responsive such that members correspondence can be attended to in a timely manner and without the fear of not receiving correspondence.

3) Organised Support Forum.

One of the key characteristics of a good internet marketing training program is the possession of an organized forum. This is necessary for cross-fertilisation of ideas and is a good means for further education on the operation/activities of the marketing training program.

4) Documentation of Training programme.

Yet another of the characteristics of a good internet marketing training program is adequate documentation of the training programme. It is not sufficient for there to be a training programme in place but this must further be documented in an e-manual which is available to the trainees of the marketing training program for constant review and consultation.

5) Evidence of success of the marketing training program.

This is one of the characteristics of a good internet marketing training program. This evidence can come in the form of past successful users of the system who may even intermingle with current users of the service in the Support Forum.

6) Solid Money-Making Programs.

The marketing training program must aim at marketing solid money-making business opportunities for it to possess one of the characteristics of a good internet marketing training program. These must be proven business opportunities with identifiable product/service to offer. These business opportunities must also not be too few to enable multiple income streams and diversification whilst it must not contain too many business opportunities such that it makes the trainee to loose focus. An ideal number of business opportunites is about five(5).

7) Ability to incorporate a few of your own personal business opportunites.

There must be the possibility of inclusion of your own personal business opportunites that you are interested in marketing with the training program, for it to possess one of the characteristics of a good internet marketing training program.

8 )Accompanying website must be alterable by the operator of the marketing service.

A number of marketing training programs provide their members with websites that cannot be altered by them. This is highly restrictive and an alterable website is thus amongst the characteristics of a good internet marketing training program.

9) Must have a large membership.

This is one of the characteristics of a good internet marketing training program as it enables a gauging of the followership the service commands. This can probably be gauged through forum participation as some forums for example are virtually empty.

10) Must be cost effective. It makes no sense to keep spending more than is generated on a continuos basis.

11) Earn while you learn. The trainee must be able to earn while learning as a boost to his morale and finances which further motivates his interest in the training program.

Overview Of Internet Marketing

Author: Dele

Internet Marketing primarily consists of the following:

Marketing Online of :
a) One’s product or service, developed from scratch.

Developing one’s product/service from scratch is quite demanding both in terms of finance and time and is quite
risky and more or less the preserve of highly capitalised companies.

b) Affilate Marketing results into affiliate earnings and entails marketing of some one else’s already developed
product or service.

Dealing in other people’s products i.e. affiliate marketing is quite affordable and desirable for most individual
internet marketers and is by far the more common option of the two.

One can with very little capital fully operate an online business in this manner and would not have to bother
about many requirements such as stockpiling of inventories,
shipping, website development, product creation or
development etc while one can primarily concentrate on
marketing.

In this area of marketing, one is even considerably assisted
by the principal company through various support mechanisms
e.g. training, provision of website etc and the company shares a
portion of the profit with the individual affiliate marketer.

It is not even uncommon to see the affilate earning of the
affiliate marketer being a greater share of the profit than
that of the principal company.

Either of these two options must now be executed using an
Internet Marketing System to promote the product/service.

One has to be very careful because there are a lot of scams
on the internet.

Promotion of the Product/Service:

Promotion of the product or service can come in many forms.
This includes but not limited to the following internet
marketing strategies:

Marketing via Traffic Exchanges
Classified adverts
Solo e-mail ads
Blog Marketing
Article marketing
Forum marketing
Free for all(FFA) advertising

From experience, it is always best to consolidate all your
business opportunities on one website and consistently apply
the above marketing strategies to the website and thus reap
eventual economies of scale as I am doing on
homebiz

“Utilise the business opportunities on this website and follow
my PROVEN Money-Making Marketing System. Too Expensive
To Try Re-Inventing The Wheel”
